HEBRON FAMILY DISPLACED FOLLOWING FRIDAY MORNING HOUSE FIRE

On Friday, October 27, 2023 at approximately 3:37 AM in the morning, multiple fire departments responded to the 24000 block of Porter Mill Road in Hebron, Wicomico County, Maryland for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a two story residential structure fully involved with flames coming from all over the house. 

The fire went to 2-alarms and required 54 firefighters to work the fire and bring it under control, in 1 hour and 12 minutes. 

As a result of the fire, the damage is estimated at $300,000 and an addition loss of $100,000 in contents. The family trafically lost two of their family pets (dogs) as a result of the fire. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.   

The family was displaced as a result of the fire but has been assisted by the American Red Cross and other volunteer organizations.  There is a GoFundMe that has been set up by the family. If you would like to make a donation to the family, please click on the following link.
