High-Energy Jam Band, Muskrat Lightning, to Perform at Friday Night Live

Salisbury, Maryland - Muskrat Lightning, a dynamic and high-energy jam band, is set to headline Downtown Salisbury's widely popular Friday Night Live concert series on Friday, July 11, 2025. The performance will take place at Unity Square from 6:30 P.M. to 9 P.M. and is free for the public to attend.  

To facilitate the event, road closures will be implemented:

• South Division Street (Circle Avenue to Camden Street) will close at 9:30 A.M. and reopen at 11 P.M.  
• South Division Street (Camden Street to Main Street) will close at 5:30 P.M. and reopen at 10 P.M.  

Muskrat Lightning, influenced by the vibrant tides of Ocean City, MD, is known for blending tight song structures with improvisational soundscapes. Their music spans genres, from funk and psychedelia to rock, delivering an engaging live experience fueled by the raw energy of spontaneity.

Performing with unrepeatable creativity, Muskrat Lightning invites audiences to immerse themselves in a night of dance, music, and unpredictable grooves.  

Concert attendees will enjoy not only live music but also local food offerings, including selections from the Mad Tacos Food Truck. Beer and wine will be available for purchase on-site, and attendees can take advantage of the "Quick Bites Under City Lights" promotion by scanning QR codes to unlock exclusive dining deals at participating Downtown Salisbury restaurants.  

Friday Night Live, an event series hosted by Salisbury's Arts, Business, and Culture Department, aims to activate the downtown area with vibrant community events. The series supports both local businesses and regional artists, fostering a family-friendly gathering space for all ages. The concerts occur monthly throughout the summer, making this event a central pillar of the city's cultural programming.
