HOSPITALITY HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTS NEW MEMBERS

Wicomico County, MD - The recent induction ceremony highlighted the accomplishments of exceptional students in the field of hospitality management as the Eta Sigma Delta chapter at Wor-Wic Community College welcomed new members into its esteemed ranks.


Under the guidance of Dr. Jae Jung, an assistant professor of business and hospitality management, the event celebrated the academic achievements of students who have excelled in their studies.


The new inductees, including Jazmine Abu-Zaid from Ocean City, Ty Beach from Salisbury, Emily Bitner from Berlin, Angelita Hampton from Hurlock, Jessica Lee from Berlin, and Robert Thomas from Salisbury, were honored for their commitment to academic excellence.


Founded in 1978, Eta Sigma Delta is an honor society that recognizes the achievements of students in hospitality and tourism. It is supported by the Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education.


Membership in Eta Sigma Delta is open to currently enrolled hospitality management majors who have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and meet other eligibility criteria.


This honor society serves as a testament to student dedication and success in the hospitality industry, combining academic distinction with career aspirations in this dynamic field.
