House Fire Displaces Three in Eden, Maryland
Eden, MD - On the evening of November 20, 2025, a structure fire was reported at a single-family dwelling located in the 3700 block of Post Office Road. The Allen Volunteer Fire Department was the primary unit to respond to the incident.
The fire occurred at approximately 8:44 PM in a one-story, wood-frame home. It was discovered by the occupants in a bedroom. A total of 32 firefighters responded to the single-alarm fire and brought it under control within 30 minutes.
The preliminary investigation determined the cause to be accidental, resulting from an electrical event. While smoke alarms were present in the home, they did not operate at the time of the fire.
The fire caused an estimated $15,000 in structural damage and $5,000 in damage to the contents. As a result, three adults and one dog have been displaced. The American Red Cross is providing assistance to those affected.
