Hurlock Woman Charged with DUI Following Traffic Stop
Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on January 1, 2026, at approximately 2:37 p.m. The stop occurred near Race Street and Bayly Road in Cambridge, Maryland.
Police initiated the stop after observing a vehicle fail to stop at a red light at Race Street and Washington Street.
Officers identified the driver as 26-year-old Jazmyne Ti'Amber Sampson of Hurlock, Maryland.
During the contact, police detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. When asked if she had been drinking, Sampson told officers, "not a lot".
Police requested that Sampson perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests. She complied with the request.
Officers determined that Sampson did not pass the tests successfully. She was placed under arrest at the scene.
Sampson was later released on traffic citations. She faces charges of Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, and Driving Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol.
