Interfering With An Arrest Lands Cambridge Woman With Disorderly Conduct Charges

Cambridge, MD - On August 16, 2025, at approximately 8:43 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to a disturbance call in the 900 block of Pine Street in Cambridge, Maryland. While police were managing the situation, additional CPD officers attempted to detain a female individual at the scene.

During the incident, officers observed Jay'mere Linmay Sewell, a 19-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland, allegedly causing a disturbance and interfering with the detention process.

Sewell was placed under arrest by officers and later released with a Criminal Citation. Sewell has been formally charged with the following offense:
