Cambridge, MD - On March 29, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) assisted the Easton Police Department (EPD) with a theft investigation involving a tracked stolen item. The item was tracked to the 600 block of Bradley Avenue, where officers observed a vehicle occupied by three subjects.
When officers attempted to make contact, the vehicle fled, initiating a pursuit.
During the pursuit, a backpack containing a quantity of cannabis was discarded by the occupants and subsequently recovered by law enforcement.
The pursuit continued onto US Route 50, where the fleeing vehicle struck two vehicles stopped in traffic at Crusader Road. No injuries were reported in the collision.
Following the crash, the three occupants fled on foot. One subject ran toward Shoal Creek, while two others fled toward a nearby WaWa.
Of the two subjects who ran toward the WaWa, one was apprehended by officers near Channel Markers on Dorchester Avenue.
The other subject returned to the front of the WaWa and entered an unoccupied, running vehicle. The suspect drove away, dragging the vehicle's owner a short distance through the parking lot, before fleeing toward Washington Street.
Multiple units from the Cambridge Police Department, Dorchester County Sheriff's Office (DSO), and Maryland State Police (MSP) responded to the area to locate the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was found abandoned off Goodwill Avenue near Russell Paving. An MSP K9 unit conducted a track, which led to a residence in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue.
The residence was linked to the suspect identified as the driver in the pursuit and the carjacking. A search and seizure warrant was executed at the residence by Cambridge Police Detectives, resulting in the recovery of CDS packaging material, suspected cocaine, cannabis, various pills, a large quantity of ammunition, and a suspected foreign-made rifle with a drum magazine.
The subject apprehended near Channel Markers was identified as 20-year-old Christian Amour Jackson of Easton, Maryland. Jackson was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing and later released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
Jackson was charged with the following:
