INVESTIGATION OF SHOTS FIRED ON DOUGLAS STREET

Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place on June 8, 2025, at approximately 5:06 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of Douglas Street after receiving a "Shot Spotter" alert indicating multiple gunshots in the area.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle that had been damaged by gunfire. Evidence collected at the scene included several spent shell casings and a live 9mm round.

A witness reported seeing two young African American males fleeing the scene after the shooting. One suspect was described as wearing a gray sweatshirt, while the other wore a black sweatshirt. The individuals were last seen heading toward Camelia Street.

Police also identified two additional vehicles that had sustained damage from the gunfire. At this time, no injuries or additional victims have been reported.
