Georgetown, DE - Important changes are coming to the operational hours of the Delaware Justice of the Peace Court 3. The changes, which come into effect on March 3, 2024, and are a part of a pilot program to enhance the utilization of judicial resources. 

The court's new working hours will be from 6:00 a.m. until midnight daily. However, it's crucial to note that judicial officers will be available from 8:00 a.m. to midnight. If you have any in-person or virtual activities related to the court, plan accordingly to make sure you're within these new timeframes.

There's another important change that you should be aware of: The court will not accept any new cases after 11:00 p.m. Any in-person or virtual activity related to new cases after 11:00 p.m. will need to be routed to Justice of the Peace Court 7, located at 480 Bank Lane, Dover, Delaware.

This pilot program is envisioned as a strategy to maximize the efficiency and utility of our judicial resources. It is going to stay in effect until further notice.
