Juvenile Referred to Services After Pointing Laser at Police Officer
Talbot County, MD - On February 12, 2026, an officer from the Easton Police Department was traveling near West Street in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland.
Two individuals were observed on a nearby sidewalk. As the officer drove past the individuals, a red laser pointer was directed into the officer's face by one of the individuals.
Contact was initiated with the male suspect. The individual refused to provide his identity to law enforcement. He stated that he was a juvenile and was not required to furnish his information to the police.
The identity of the juvenile was established by police through a brief investigation.
The officer then responded to the juvenile's residence. The individual was referred to Juvenile Services and was released to the custody of his parents.
