LARGE FIGHT IN SNOW HILL REQUIRES LAW ENFORCEMENT FROM ALL ACROSS WORCESTER COUNTY

Snow Hill, MD - On January 20th at 9:50 PM, officers were dispatched to the area of Green Street in Snow Hill, Maryland for a reported fight involving several individuals, estimated from witnesses at the scene of 20-30 people involved.   

Upon the arrival of the first officers, additional officers were requested to safely disperse the crowd. This was the result of an incident that took place at the old Snow Hill Firehouse, which was at the time being used for a birthday party.

Officers located one individual who needed medical treatment and that person was subsequently transported to a local hospital. 

As additional officers and deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office arrived, attempts to disperse the crowd were made. 

During this attempt, a uniformed officer was assaulted and in addition to the Snow Hill Police Department and Worcester County Sheriff's Office, additional officers responded to the scene, including a K-9 unit from the Pocomoke Police Department, troopers from the Maryland State Police, both Berlin Barrack and Princess Anne Barrack were requested, Berlin Police Department. 

An adult female and male were subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct by deputies on scene and released later pending a trial date.
