LAUREL MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH FEBRUARY SHOOTING

Laurel, DE - The Laurel Police Department, following a vigilant investigation into a shooting that occurred on February 11 this year, has confirmed the arrest of a suspect involved in the incident. 

Branson Daniels, a 22-year-old Laurel, Delaware resident, was taken into custody on March 27, 2024, at a motel in Ocean City, Maryland, following a warrant issued on February 23, 2024. 

This arrest was executed by the U.S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force, and Daniels is expected to be extradited to Delaware to face a plethora of felony and misdemeanor charges. 

The shooting incident, which occurred at the Carvel Gardens Apartment Complex, led to the police requesting public assistance in identifying multiple subjects believed to have been involved. The subsequent arrest is a testament to the valuable contributions of the community and law enforcement partners.

The Laurel Police Department extends its gratitude to its law enforcement counterparts in Delaware and Maryland, the U.S. Marshal Service, and community members who provided crucial information leading to the arrest.
