LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS YOUR HELP WITH AN ARMED CARJACKING

Cambridge, MD - On March 6, 2024, at approximately 1:37 PM, the Cambridge Police Department responded to a report of an armed carjacking at the 400 block of Willis St.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers made contact with the victim, who explained that their vehicle was stolen at gunpoint. The incident took place at the 500 block of Greenwood Ave, after the victim had picked up two male subjects, one from Teal Lane and another from Foxtail Drive, at their friend's request.

On reaching the 500 block of Greenwood Ave's apartment complex parking lot, the victim was threatened by both subjects. The male subject seated in the back pulled out a firearm, handing it to the other male suspect, who then pointed the weapon at the victim.

The victim was punched by the other suspect, who had exited the vehicle, leading to a struggle that ended with the victim fleeing on foot to Willis St. It was at that location, the victim asked a FedEx driver for help.

The stolen vehicle is a 2016 Silver Ford Focus bearing MD Registration 14296CL. Security cameras last captured the vehicle heading south on Leonard's Lane towards Washington Street.

The first male suspect is approximately 6-foot tall with a small build, short dreadlocks, and chin hair, and is believed to be around 18 years old. He was donning a red sweatshirt paired with black sweatpants.

The second suspect is between 5 foot 9 inches and 5 foot 10 inches tall, sporting a buzzcut, beard, and darker skin. He was wearing yellow sweatpants, a black puffy jacket, and a yellow T-shirt.

As of this writing, the vehicle has not yet been located. The Cambridge Police Department is conducting an active investigation and is urging the community to provide any relevant information.
