Law Enforcement Responds to Incident at Cambridge South Dorchester High School

Dorchester County, MD - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office responded to an incident at Cambridge South Dorchester High School this morning. Deputies arrived at the location following a request for assistance from the School Resource Deputy.

Units from the Cambridge Police Department and the Maryland State Police also provided support at the scene.

The School Resource Deputy received a report regarding a fight inside the school involving multiple individuals. The deputy located a large crowd within the facility and requested additional law enforcement assistance.

The arrival of responding units allowed the situation to de-escalate quickly without further incident.

School administration and the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office are conducting a coordinated investigation. The school has initiated disciplinary actions, and juvenile referrals were completed for multiple individuals involved.

Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the school, and normal operations resumed shortly after the event.
