Local High School Fight Sends One Patient to Area Hospital

Dorchester County, MD - On Monday, November 10, 2025, Dorchester County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to reports of multiple student altercations at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.

The initial report was made at approximately 12:10 p.m. The on-site School Resource Deputy was alerted to a disturbance and called for additional support after several unrelated altercations occurred in different areas of the school within a short period.

An investigation determined that one incident involved a student assaulting another student during a class. Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene and transported the victim to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The student responsible for the assault was taken into custody. They were processed according to juvenile procedures and subsequently released to a parent.
