Ocean View, DE - On April 23, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Delaware State Police responded to Mahogany Street in Ocean View, Delaware, and arrested 48-year-old Regina Bonacquisti in connection with a felony assault of a 66-year-old woman.

The victim was in her driveway when Bonacquisti allegedly approached her from the roadway in an aggressive manner. She reportedly assaulted the senior citizen and inflicted damage to her vehicle before fleeing the area. 

Police arrived at the location following a distress call and, after a detailed investigation, identified Bonacquisti as the suspect. Following the initial investigation, they obtained arrest warrants based on the victim's account and corroboration of events and proceeded with the arrest the following day.

Bonacquisti was arrested without incident on April 24, 2024, and taken to the Ocean View Police Department, where she was officially charged. 

Following arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Bonacquisti has been committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, her bail set at a $2,700 cash bond.

The 66-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital following the assault, where she is currently receiving treatment for her injuries.
