Local Woman Arrested on Multiple Bench Warrants

CAMBRIDGE, MD -Cambridge Police Department officers arrested a local woman on multiple outstanding warrants in the early morning hours of September 3, 2025.
Chassidy Dawn Taber, 28, of Cambridge, Maryland, was taken into custody at approximately 4:28 a.m. on two separate District Court bench warrants issued by Dorchester County.
The first warrant was issued for Taber's failure to appear in court on August 4, 2025. This warrant stemmed from an original charge of theft involving property valued between $100 and $1,500.
The second warrant was related to her failure to appear on July 21, 2025, for multiple theft-related charges. These charges included theft of property valued at less than $100, theft of property valued between $100 and $1,500, and participation in a theft scheme.
Following her arrest and processing, Taber was released on her personal recognizance. This type of release allows defendants to be freed from custody without posting bail, based on their written promise to appear for future court proceedings.
