Local Woman Cited for Theft at Cambridge WaWa Store

Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department responded to a theft in progress at a local WaWa store in the early morning hours of September 24, 2025. Officers received the call at approximately 12:58 a.m.
Store personnel provided officers with a description of the suspect who had left the establishment with merchandise without making payment. Police located the individual shortly after the initial report was filed.
The suspect was identified as Bridget Jane Curtis, a 42-year-old resident of Hurlock, Maryland. Officers recovered multiple items that had been taken from the WaWa store during the incident.
All stolen merchandise was returned to the store following the arrest. Curtis was subsequently banned from the WaWa establishment as part of the resolution process.
Curtis was released on a criminal citation and faces one charge of theft less than $100.00.
