Man Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Individual in WaWa Parking Lot

Easton, MD - On October 31, 2025, officers responded to a WaWa location following reports of a male pointing a gun at another individual after a verbal dispute. The victim provided a description of the suspect's vehicle, a Ford F-150 with a Maryland registration plate, and indicated the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Ocean Gateway.

Due to the possibility of the suspect leaving Easton, officers issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) to the Talbot County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police. The Maryland State Police located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in the area of Route 50 in Trappe, Maryland, for a traffic violation.

The driver was identified as Craig Faunce, 61, of Middle River, Maryland. Faunce exited the vehicle and was detained. The victim later positively identified Faunce as the suspect. Faunce was placed under arrest, and a handgun was seized from the vehicle.

Faunce was charged with Assault 1st Degree, Firearm Use in a Violent Crime, Assault 2nd Degree, Loaded Handgun on Person, and Handgun in Vehicle. He was released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
