Man Arrested for DUI Following Three-Vehicle Crash in Harbeson

Harbeson, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested 64-year-old Timothy Wolak of Lewes, Delaware, in connection with a three-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday, October 31, 2025. The incident led to charges of vehicular assault and driving under the influence.

The crash took place at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Hollymount Road near Scottie Run. According to the preliminary investigation, a Cadillac CT4, driven by Wolak, was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center line into the westbound lane.

The Cadillac then sideswiped a Dodge Durango before colliding head-on with a Dodge Charger that was traveling behind the Durango.

When troopers arrived, they made contact with Wolak and observed signs of impairment. He was transported to an area hospital for serious injuries.

The driver of the Dodge Charger, a 26-year-old woman from Laurel, Delaware, also sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital by the Delaware State Police Aviation Section. The driver of the Dodge Durango, a 32-year-old woman from Georgetown, Delaware, was not injured in the collision.

The roadway was closed for about one hour as investigators processed the scene.

While at the hospital, troopers noted additional signs of impairment from Wolak, and a search warrant was obtained for a blood sample. After his release from the hospital, Wolak turned himself in at Troop 7 on November 3, 2025.

He was charged with Vehicular Assault 1st Degree (a felony), Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and related traffic offenses. Wolak was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on a $3,101 unsecured bond.
