Man Arrested for Public Urination and Drug Possession in Cambridge

Cambridge, Maryland - On July 26, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department observed a male subject urinating in public on a building in the 600 block of Pine Street in Cambridge, Maryland, through the city's camera system.


Officers were dispatched to the location and identified the individual as Clarence Roosevelt Beck III, a 49-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland.


Police checked Beck's information and discovered that Beck had an active arrest warrant issued by the Dorchester County District Court for failure to appear in court on June 23, 2025. The original charge associated with the warrant was for trespassing. Beck was subsequently taken into custody for the warrant.


During a search conducted after his arrest, officers found Beck in possession of a smoking device commonly used for ingesting crack cocaine. Beck was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.


Following standard procedures, Beck was taken in front of the District Court Commissioner, where he was released on personal recognizance.  


Citations were issued for the following offenses:


  • Unlawful urination in public  
  • CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substance) possession not cannabis  
  • CDS possession of paraphernalia
