Caroline County, MD - On January 30, 2026, deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office extradited Adrian K. Waters, a 38-year-old resident of Denton, Maryland, from Delaware.

Waters was served with an arrest warrant for multiple charges. These include the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle, rogue and vagabond, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He also faces 15 related traffic charges.

The charges originate from an incident on August 12, 2025. A deputy on patrol in the Marydel area identified a stolen vehicle driven by Waters. When the deputy attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled across the state line into Delaware.

Waters was subsequently stopped and arrested in Delaware with assistance from the Delaware State Police. He remained in custody there pending extradition.

During the service of the arrest warrant, authorities discovered Waters was also wanted by the Maryland State Police. Deputies served three failure-to-appear (FTA) warrants related to court proceedings in Dorchester County.

Waters appeared before a District Court Commissioner. He was ordered to be held on a $2500 secured bond at the Caroline County Detention Center on the Caroline County charges and also a combination of a $500 bond and a $1,000 bond on the Dorchester County charges.

Waters has since posted all three bonds, a total of $400, and has been released.
