Laurel, DE - On November 10, 2023, at approximately 11:14 am, Officers from the Laurel Police Department were conducting a property check of the Hollybrook Apartments located on Pasture Lane in Laurel, Delaware.

During the property check, officers located Jamar E Archer (33 years of age) of Laurel, DE, in the breezeway of the 300 Building. Archer was known to be barred from the Hollybrook Apartments and had an active Laurel Police Department warrant for Shoplifting, two counts of Breach of a No-Contact Order with Hollybrook Apartments, and Trespassing in Hollybrook Apartments. 

Additionally, Archer had an active warrant issued by the Seaford Police Department for Theft Under $1500 Where the Victim is 62 Years of Age or Older, a JP Court capias, and 5 Laurel Alderman Court capiases related to trespassing in Hollybrook and shoplifting. 

Archer was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Laurel Police Department for processing. In addition to the above warrants and capiases, Archer was charged in relation to the newest incident by the Laurel Police Department with the following crimes:

Archer was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $4,502 secured bail combined with the new charges. 

The JP Court did not arraign Archer on the Laurel Alderman Court capiases and advised him to turn himself in.
