Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fishing and Boating Services To Host Fisheries Information Exchange

Worcester County, MD - The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fishing and Boating Services will host a Fisheries Information Exchange on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

It will be held at the Worcester County Library, Ocean Pines Branch, which is located at 11107 Cathell Road in Ocean Pines, Worcester County, Maryland.

This meeting will be conducted in person only.

Recreational, commercial, and for-hire fishermen are invited to attend. The exchange provides an opportunity to engage with agency representatives. Questions can be answered by staff before the busy fishing season begins.

Personnel will be available to discuss a variety of technical topics. These topics include permitting, licensing, and regulations. Information regarding commercial and highly migratory species reporting will be provided.

Discussions will also cover the Access Point Angler Intercept Survey (APAIS) and scientific collection permits. Additional subjects include enforcement, recreational fishing, and marine mammals.

Representatives from other Department of Natural Resources programs will also be in attendance. Staff from the Invasive Species, Striped Bass, and Maryland Coastal Bays Programs will be present to assist attendees.
