Maryland Making National News Over Cornhole Player Murder
State of Maryland - Dayton Webber, a 27-year-old quadruple amputee, was recently arrested and faces murder charges following a fatal shooting in Charles County, Maryland.
The incident occurred late Sunday night inside a Tesla vehicle. Preliminary investigation determined that an altercation took place between Webber, who was operating the vehicle, and the front-seat passenger, identified as 27-year-old Bradrick Michael Wells.
During the dispute, Wells was fatally shot. The vehicle was then driven from Maryland into Virginia. Webber allegedly requested assistance from two passengers located in the rear seats to remove the deceased individual from the vehicle.
The two witnesses declined to provide assistance. Both individuals exited the vehicle and successfully contacted law enforcement.
Webber subsequently fled the scene in the vehicle. He was later located by authorities, apprehended, and taken into custody.
He is currently incarcerated while the investigation continues. Prior to this incident, Webber was recognized in a 2023 ESPN sports profile as a professional competitive cornhole player in Maryland.
