MARYLAND MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO STEAL A MOTOR VEHICLE

Georgetown, DE - An 18-year-old male from Aberdeen, Maryland, identified as Dragco Wiggins, was arrested in Georgetown, Delaware, on charges of attempted vehicle theft. Wiggins tried to steal a Chrysler minivan from a residence on March 1, 2024.

The Delaware State Police responded to a report of vehicle theft around 8:40 p.m. on Zoar Road in Georgetown, Delaware. 

Upon arrival, troopers found Wiggins and the victim in the driveway at this location.

The victim reported exiting her residence after hearing her minivan's horn sound and found Wiggins in the driver's seat. 

Upon confronting the suspect, she discovered cash had been stolen from the minivan's center console and damaged the multi-selector switch.

Wiggins was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the below crimes:


  • Attempted to Commit Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)

  • Theft Under $1,500

  • Tampering with Vehicle

  • Criminal Mischief

  • Criminal Trespass


Wiggins was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $750 cash bond.
