Maryland Residents Arrested Following High-Speed Pursuit in Delaware

Angola, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested two Maryland residents, 21-year-old Jeremy Rodriguez Sepulveda of Salisbury and 19-year-old Tina Berry of Delmar, on multiple felony charges following a high-speed pursuit near Angola on July 27, 2025.
At approximately 9:14 p.m. on July 27, a Delaware State Police trooper observed a Toyota GR86 traveling eastbound on John J. Williams Highway, near Banks Road, at a high rate of speed. The trooper initiated a traffic stop when the vehicle turned southbound on Sloan Road.
The driver, later identified as Rodriguez Sepulveda, failed to stop and turned off the vehicle's headlights while continuing southbound on Sloan Road. Shortly thereafter, the Toyota failed to negotiate a curve and overturned.
Troopers made contact with the vehicle's occupants, Rodriguez Sepulveda and Berry, both of whom were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, Berry initially claimed to have been driving the vehicle. However, it was later determined that Rodriguez Sepulveda was the driver during the pursuit.
Following their release from the hospital, both Rodriguez Sepulveda and Berry were taken into custody and transported to Delaware State Police Troop 7, where they were charged with multiple offenses.
Rodriguez Sepulveda was charged with the following crimes and traffic violations:
- Provide False Statement to Law Enforcement with Intent to Delay/Hinder Investigation of a Felony (Felony)
- Disregard a Police Officer Signal (Felony)
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
- Reckless Driving
- Driving without a Valid License
- Multiple Traffic Violations
Rodriguez Sepulveda was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on his own recognizance.
Berry was charged with the following crimes:
- Provide False Statement to Law Enforcement with Intent to Delay/Hinder Investigation of a Felony (Felony)
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
Berry was also arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and released on her own recognizance.
