Maryland State Police Continue to Investigate One-Year-Old Homicide Case of 10-Year Old Child in Salisbury

Salisbury, MD - The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit continues its investigation into the homicide of 10-year-old Tyron Colbert, Jr., which occurred one year ago in Salisbury, Maryland.
Authorities are renewing their request for public assistance in solving the case. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by the FBI, the Maryland State Police, and Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore. This reward is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Colbert's death.
On the evening of August 5, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Salisbury Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Clay Street in Salisbury, Maryland, following a 9-1-1 report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they discovered Colbert, a 10-year old innocent boy, with a fatal gunshot wound.
Investigators revealed that Colbert was inside the house at the time of the shooting, along with his mother and two other young children.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Salisbury City Police Department. There is no suspect description is available at this time.
