MARYLAND STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH IN WORCESTER COUNTY

Snow Hill, MD - The Maryland State Police are currently investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred in Worcester County.


The victim has been identified as Dehart Herbert Lamb, Jr., a 69-year-old resident of Snow Hill, Maryland. Emergency medical services personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.


The incident took place around 4:21 a.m. on Route 12 (Snow Hill Road) near Carmean Road. Preliminary investigations suggest that Lamb was walking along Snow Hill Road when he was struck by a vehicle.


The driver remained at the scene after the collision. Authorities do not believe that impairment was a factor in this incident.


The Maryland State Police were assisted by deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, as well as officers from the Pocomoke City Police and Snow Hill Police. Personnel from the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration also aided in the investigation by managing road closures in the area.
