MARYLAND STATE POLICE SEEK INFORMATION IN 1989 COLD CASE HOMICIDE

Wicomico County, MD - The Maryland State Police are renewing their efforts and seeking public assistance regarding the unsolved homicide of Colleen Powell West, a 26-year-old woman found deceased in Wicomico County in 1989.

The victim was discovered on September 9, 1989, in a remote area along Bear Swamp Road near Wango, Maryland. According to investigators, Ms. West was last seen on the evening of September 8, 1989, at the Sportsmans Pub, located on Roland Street in Salisbury, Maryland.

Despite significant investigative work conducted over the years, the case remains unresolved. Authorities are urging anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Bringing closure to Colleen's family remains a priority, police stated in their renewed appeal to the public.
