Maryland State Police to Participate in National Faith & Blue Weekend

STATE OF MD - The Maryland State Police will partner with faith-based organizations and law enforcement agencies for the National Faith & Blue Weekend, scheduled from October 10 to October 13, 2025. National Faith & Blue is a collaborative initiative designed to build stronger connections and break down biases between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve. The initiative facilitates local partnerships among law enforcement, residents, businesses, and community groups through the networks of local faith-based organizations. The goal is to create safer, more just, and unified communities. The foundation of the weekend is the belief that strong communities are built on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. The initiative holds that when law enforcement agencies and faith-based organizations-both pillars of a community-collaborate, neighborhoods can thrive. The Maryland State Police participates in this initiative annually. This year, events are scheduled from the Baltimore region to the Eastern Shore and Southern Maryland. Troopers will engage with communities of various faiths to foster effective police-community relationships.
