Melfa Shooting Investigation Leads to Arrest

Accomack County, VA - The Accomack County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 30-year-old woman in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Melfa, Virginia on September 28, 2025.
Sheriff W. Todd Wessells reported that deputies responded to a gunshot victim report in the Pine Ridge Drive area at approximately 9:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. The victim was subsequently flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The investigation resulted in a warrant for Keshiana Nicole Johnson, 30, of Melfa, Virginia. Johnson faces charges of Malicious Wounding and is currently held at the Accomack County Jail with bond denied.
Multiple agencies assisted the Accomack County Sheriff's Office during the response. The Virginia State Police, Maryland State Police Trooper 4, Onancock Volunteer Fire Department, Melfa Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., and the Accomack County Department of Public Safety provided support.
