Milford, DE - On September 22, 2024, at approximately 12:55 p.m., the Milford Police Department was dispatched to N. Church St, in the area of SW Front St., in Milford, Sussex County, Delaware, for an 18-year-old male, who was having mental health issues.

The male subject stated to officers that he had killed someone.  Through further investigation, officers were prompted to respond to a residence in the 400 block of Lakeview Avenue, Milford, Sussex County, Delaware, where they located a 50-year-old female deceased.

Investigators took the 18-year-old male, who they identified as Edouard Risch Oldens of Milford, Delaware, into custody and charged him with one count of Murder First Degree and one count of Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony. 

Risch Oldens had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 3, where bail was set at $680,000 cash bail only.  Risch Oldens was turned over to the Delaware Department of Corrections.  Risch Oldens is scheduled to appear in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a Preliminary Hearing.
