Milford Police Arrest Man for Burglary in Simpson’s Crossing

MILFORD, DE- On December 15, 2025, at approximately 6:30 pm, the Milford Police Department responded to a reported burglary in progress in the 11000 block of Farmerfield Street within the Simpson's Crossing Development. Upon arrival, they located Rousevel Delva inside the home.

Investigation determined that the 39-year-old Milford, Delaware resident did not live at this address. Police stated that Delva forced entry into the home as another occupant entered.

He reportedly damaged property within the residence before officers apprehended him. Delva was taken into custody without further incident.

Delva faces multiple charges following the arrest. These include one felony count of Burglary in the Second Degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Additional charges include one count of Offensive Touching and one count of Criminal Mischief under $1,000.

Following his arrest, Delva was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court 3. He was committed to the Department of Correction in default of a $12,200 secured bond.

The court also issued an order for no contact with the victims. A preliminary hearing is scheduled in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
