Milford Police Arrest Man In Connection to Burglary at Local Gas Station

MILFORD, DE - A Milford man has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred at a local gas station.


On September 5, 2025, at approximately 1:05 p.m., the Milford Police Department responded to a report of a burglary at the Shell Gas Station on S. DuPont Blvd in Milford, Delaware.


The investigation revealed that at approximately 2:55 a.m., a suspect broke into the building by shattering the glass entrance door with a rock. The individual then stole a large quantity of cigarettes and pre-roll products before leaving the scene.


Through their investigation, officers identified the suspect as Joshua Kenton, 35, of Milford. A short time later, an arrest warrant was obtained for Kenton.


Officers located Kenton in the area of Haven Lake in Milford, Delaware, where he was taken into custody without incident.


Kenton has been charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony), Theft of $1500 or Greater (Felony), and Criminal Mischief under $1000. He was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and despite the request of Law Enforcement for a secured bail, Kenton was released on a $5,100 unsecured bail with a no-contact order for the business.
