Millsboro Woman Dies in Golf Cart Accident

SUSSEX COUNTY, DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a golf cart that took place Sunday evening in the Pot-Nets Bayside community.

On September 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a Venom EV Golf Cart was traveling north on Piney Crest Lane. During the trip, a passenger on the golf cart fell from the vehicle and sustained critical injuries.

The passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending notification of her family.

The driver, a 44-year-old woman, also from Millsboro, was not injured in the incident.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident as a fatal crash. Investigators noted that the golf cart did not strike another object and was not damaged.
