Milton Police Arrest Suspect Following Dual Investigation

Milton, DE - The Milton Police Department has concluded an investigation resulting in the closure of two open cases. On December 29, 2025, Malik Aiken, 25, was arrested in connection with a theft and a residential burglary.

On December 18, 2025, officers responded to the Cypress Grove Apartment Complex. A report was received at approximately 8:30 a.m. regarding a Milwaukee power tool stolen from an unfinished garage around 6:30 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m., a second call was received regarding a residential burglary at the same complex. The responding officer determined the burglary occurred earlier that morning, around 5:30 a.m.

The investigation identified Aiken as the suspect. It was determined that a lock-pick was utilized to enter an unoccupied apartment. Security cameras were disabled, and property was removed.

Aiken also entered the unfinished garage and removed the power tool. The tool was later located in a wooded area in Lincoln, DE. It was recovered undamaged and returned to the construction crew.

Aiken faces multiple charges, including Burglary in the Third Degree, Possession of Burglar Tools, Theft over $1,500, and Theft under $1,500. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and received a $7,000 cash bond. Aiken was subsequently committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution.
