Missing Salisbury Man Found Deceased in Wicomico River

SALISBURY, MD - Detectives are investigating the death of an adult male whose body was recovered from the Wicomico River on Monday, September 8, 2025.


At approximately 9:30 a.m., authorities from the Salisbury Police Department and the Maryland State Police were called to the Wicomico River, near the 300 block of W. Main Street. Upon arrival, they recovered the body of an adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.


The decedent was later identified as Deaquan White, a 29-year-old male. Mr. White had been reported missing to the Salisbury Police Department two days earlier, on September 6, 2025. His family was notified once his identity was confirmed.


An extensive investigation was conducted to locate Mr. White after he was reported missing. Efforts included interviews with family and associates, searches of areas he was last seen, and various mobile communication inquiries.


The investigation into how Mr. White entered the water is ongoing. His body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.


The Salisbury Police Department expressed thanks to the Maryland State Police, Salisbury Fire Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for their assistance.
