Mobile Home Fire Displaces Five Residents in Hurlock
Hurlock, MD - A structure fire at a mobile home in Hurlock, Maryland displaced five residents on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred October 29, 2025, at approximately 12:59 PM in the 6200 block of Corkran Street in Dorchester County, Maryland.
The Hurlock Volunteer Fire Department responded to the single-alarm fire at the one-story residential mobile home. Ten firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes of arrival.
The fire was discovered by an occupant of the home. Preliminary investigation indicates that the fire originated on the exterior of the structure, near trash cans, before extending into the mobile home.
The cause remains under investigation.
Property damage estimates include $10,000 for the structure and $5,000 for contents. A smoke alarm was present in the residence at the time of the incident.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the displaced family members.
