Monique L. Cooke Arrested for DUI & Hit-and-Run in Easton

Easton, MD - On January 21, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to the vicinity of Pennsylvania Avenue and August Street. They were dispatched following reports of a hit-and-run motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with an employee of the City of Easton. The employee reported that their vehicle had been struck by a silver Nissan.

Witnesses at the scene informed law enforcement that the suspect vehicle had stopped at a nearby store. Officers located the driver of the vehicle, identified as 53-year-old Monique L. Cooke of Easton, Maryland.

During the interaction, officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Cooke.

Consequently, Cooke was unable to successfully complete a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and was placed under arrest.
