MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH UNDER INVESTIGATION IN TRAPPE, MARYLAND

TRAPPE, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a motor vehicle crash that took place in the early morning hours of June 17, 2025. Deputies responded to the scene around 4:30 AM, near Chloras Point Road and Claylands Road in Trappe, Maryland.


Upon arrival, deputies found a severely damaged vehicle about 150 yards off the roadway. The damage indicated that the vehicle had rolled over multiple times. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Ellis Newcomb from Easton, MD, declined medical treatment at the scene.


A passenger in the vehicle was ejected during the collision and sustained life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported the injured passenger to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, where they were subsequently transferred to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD, for further treatment.


The investigation is being led by the Crash Reconstruction Unit of the Talbot County Sheriff's Office.
