MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARRESTED FOLLOWING SEARCH WARRANT OPERATION IN FRANKFORD, DELAWARE

Sussex County, DE - Sussex County Drug Unit and allied task forces, law enforcement executed a search warrant on May 22, 2025, at a residence in Frankford. This operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals: Calvin Wescott, 56, of Ellendale; Jerome Wescott, 35, of Frankford; and a 17-year-old male from Seaford. All were apprehended on felony drug charges.


The search was conducted in the 28000 block of Gum Tree Road, following credible information indicating the distribution of illegal narcotics from that location. During the raid, authorities detained a total of seven individuals, including the two adults and a juvenile present in the home.


A search of the premises yielded various illegal substances. Authorities discovered approximately 162.35 grams of marijuana, 0.09 grams of crack cocaine, 2.07 grams of heroin, six pregabalin pills, and digital scales. These findings highlight the scale of the operation allegedly run by the suspects.


Calvin Wescott was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the following:


  • Maintaining a Drug Property (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Committing a Drug Offense with a Child in the Dwelling - 2 counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription - 2 counts
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia


Calvin Westcott was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released after posting a $10,000 secured bond.


Jerome Wescott was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the following:


  • Knowingly Operate a Clandestine Laboratory (Felony)
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony) - 2 counts
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Committing a Drug Offense with a Child in the Dwelling - 2 counts
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia


Jerome Wescott was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released after posting a $12,000 secured bond.


The 17-year-old male was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with following:


  • Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 2 (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Committing a Drug Offense with a Child in the Dwelling
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia


The juvenile was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance to a parent/guardian.


One of the seven individuals located in the residence was arrested for misdemeanor offenses.
