Ocean City Mourns the Passing of Chief Christopher N. Larmore

Ocean City, MD - The Town of Ocean City has announced the passing of Life Member 101, former Volunteer Fire Chief, and Ocean City's first Career Fire Chief, Christopher N. Larmore. Chief Larmore responded to his final call on August 5, 2025.
Chief Larmore played a pivotal role in the consolidation of the Volunteer Fire Company, Career Fire/EMS Division, and Fire Marshal's Office into the unified Ocean City Fire Department, which operates today.
His contributions were instrumental in shaping the structure and operations of the department, leaving a lasting legacy within the community.
To honor his service, Mayor Rick Meehan has ordered all Ocean City flags to be lowered to half-staff.
