Police Arrest Easton Man for DUI Following Crash

Easton, MD - On the evening of November 19, 2025, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision on South Aurora Street.

At approximately 10:13 p.m., a 2009 Honda Civic traveling in the area struck a parked vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver of the Civic, identified as Mr. Adonael Y. Perez Escalante, a 21-year-old resident of Easton, MD.

During the interaction, officers observed indicators of impairment. Mr. Perez Escalante was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he did not pass. He was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Following a breathalyzer test conducted at the Maryland State Police barracks, Mr. Perez Escalante was released with citations for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, Reckless Driving, and Negligent Driving.

A passenger in the Honda Civic was transported to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hospital for treatment. Due to the damage sustained, both vehicles involved in the collision were towed from the scene.
