POLICE ARREST HURLOCK MAN FOR KIDNAPPING IN DELAWARE

Georgetown, DE - Georgetown Police Officers were alerted to a concerning incident on May 3, 2025, regarding the kidnapping of an adult.


The Seaford Police Department reported the event after contacting the victim at the Motel 6 in Seaford, Delaware. The victim recounted a harrowing experience of being moved against his will from Georgetown and subsequently escaping in Seaford.


A description of the suspect and the vehicle was provided by the victim. The victim also revealed that the alleged kidnapper targeted him after he intervened to assist another individual in avoiding a potential assault.


An extensive investigation conducted by the Georgetown Police Department led to the identification of the suspect as Michael J. Still, from Hurlock, Maryland.


An arrest warrant was issued for Still, citing charges including Kidnapping in the First Degree, Terroristic Threatening, and Offensive Touching.


On May 6, 2025, the Dover Police Department in Delaware reported that Michael J. Still had been apprehended during a traffic stop. The arrest warrant was executed by Georgetown Police after they assumed custody of Still.


Post processing and arraignment, Michael J. Still was detained in Sussex Correctional Institution with a set bail of $26,500 cash.
