PRESTON MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CDS

Preston, MD - On March 11, 2024, local law enforcement and emergency medical services responded to a call at Hog Creek Road in Preston, MD. Upon arrival, Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office witnessed a male individual, identified as James Edward Taylor, exhibiting erratic behavior by the roadside.

The deputies sought and obtained Mr. Taylor's consent for a personal search, leading to the discovery of substances suspected to be Heroin/Fentanyl and Adderall. 

Additionally, it was unveiled that Taylor has multiple arrest warrants in Talbot and Dorchester Counties. 

The EMS team on-site assessed Taylor, who declined any medical aid. Following this series of events, Taylor was arrested on charges of CDS possession.  

Upon being presented before the District Court Commissioner, Taylor has been detained at the Caroline County Detention Center, with no bond offered. The active warrants against Taylor have been lodged as detainers.
