Preston Man Charged with Theft from Easton Giant

Easton, MD - On January 11, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to the Giant supermarket at 8223 Elliott Road in Easton, Maryland. They were dispatched regarding a report of a theft that had previously occurred. Loss Prevention staff at the location provided security footage of a subject involved in the incident.

The individual was later identified as 40-year-old Stephen D. Davis of Preston, Maryland. The footage reportedly showed Davis selecting food items and concealing them on his person.

He then exited the store without paying for the goods. The total value of the stolen items was recorded as $60.00.

Davis was served with a criminal summons on January 16, 2026. He faces one count of Theft less than $100.00.
