Princess Anne Fire Displaces Resident; Red Cross Assisting

PRINCESS ANNE, MD - On September 25, 2025, at approximately 11:33 a.m., a residential fire was reported in Princess Anne, Maryland.


The Princess Anne Fire Company was dispatched to the 3000 block of Creek View Drive in Somerset County, where they found a mobile home on fire.


A neighbor initially discovered and reported the incident. Fifteen firefighters responded to the single-alarm fire. It took approximately 40 minutes to bring the fire under control.


Investigators determined the fire originated on the underside of the mobile home. The preliminary cause has been ruled as an accidental electrical malfunction.


The estimated loss is $20,000 for the structure and $10,000 for its contents. One occupant was displaced as a result of the fire and is currently receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
