Cambridge, MD - On August 11 and August 12, 2025, the Cambridge Police Department carried out enhanced traffic enforcement operations across the city. These initiatives were implemented in response to community and city leadership concerns regarding traffic and parking violations being observed in Cambridge.

The primary objectives of the operation were to promote traffic education, discourage poor driving habits, and enhance overall safety for residents.

During the two-day operation, officers conducted 35 traffic stops involving motor vehicles, bicycles, and scooters. These stops addressed a range of traffic violations.

The results are outlined below:

  • 15 traffic citations issued
  • 48 traffic warnings issued
  • 11 parking citations issued

Additional enforcement activities included conducting one K9 vehicle search for the presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) and executing one Field Interview Report. One individual was arrested on an active warrant during the initiatives.

Officers assigned to the operation also supported routine patrol units by responding to multiple calls for service during the designated time periods. The enforcement outcomes reported are supplemental to the daily responsibilities and duties performed by officers to maintain safety across Cambridge.

The Cambridge Police Department remains committed to addressing community concerns and fostering a safer environment through consistent and proactive measures.
