PUBLIC HEARING ALERT - OCEAN CITY/MARYLAND OFFSHORE WIND FARM
The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) will be holding four public meetings for the draft of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the US Wind's Maryland Offshore Wind Project.
- The proposed wind farms off the coast of Ocean City will be visible the the Ocean City beaches.
- There is talk of up to 121 wind turbines being placed off the coast
- The size of the wind turbines is estimated at 3x the size of the Statue of Liberty (Each).
- Will be built as close as 11.5 miles off the beach coast.
We strongly encourage everyone to join in on one of these meetings, whether in person or online.
